It has been almost a year since I posted here. That is terrible!
Life has been never-ending busy, but recently I have had a few e-mails from folk asking if I will continue writing and posting. I had another e-mail from a dear friend of old with some excellent news, and I also just discovered an e-mail from another blogger, 'Lianna', concerning my old blog. If by any chance you read this, Lianna, I am afraid I cannot access that original blog at all. It is a source of much aggravation for me...but..I am going to try and update this one once a week. Today is exceptionally busy with sorting 'back to college' things for others, but tomorrow I will try and get more story posted.
It would be great to get back in the swing of things again.
One small Tolkien comment. I recently bought the book 'Arda reconstructed' by Douglas Charles Kane. It:
" ...makes the case that in creating the published Silmarillion Christopher Tolkien reconstructed his father's vision of what he considered - even more than The Lord of the Rings - to be his most important work'.
The book is facinatingly useful for anyone who struggles with the different accounts in the Silmarillion and HoME books, and makes some highly relevent ( in my opionion) conclusions.
More on this to follow......
